The language of UK commercials. Micros for the method, fishery pellets for the catapult. If the lake sells them, use them.
Pellets are not one bait. Micro pellets bind a method mix and make a carpet. Fishery 4–8mm pellets are feed, noise, and the default on most day-ticket lakes. Many commercials want you on their own pellet; some ban meat and bread but live on pellet.
Match the pellet to the water. Prepare micros so they are sticky, not soup. Don't assume a 21mm pit boilie is the same conversation.

A short section of pole, strong elastic, and a big bait in the edge. The last-hour commercial method when carp and F1s come in to feed at your feet.

Almost any commercial. Carp, F1s, stocked tench and bream. Natural waters where they know pellets.
Year-round on commercials. Smaller and fewer in the cold. Noisier and more of them in the warm.
Damp micros around a method frame. Banded 6 or 8mm on a waggler or feeder. Loose-fed by catapult.
Micros: just enough water to go sticky in a few minutes, not a puddle. Hard pellets: band them. Don't soak hard feed pellets into mush unless you mean expanders.

A bag of fishery pellets and a bag of micros covers most commercial days.
Every cast on a pellet waggler. Every method chuck. Not a kilo in the first hour of a frost.
Corn, wafters, expanders, a bit of groundbait if the water likes it.
Micros in the mix, wafer on the hook. 8mm feed, 6mm banded hookbait. Pellet and corn.
On the method, the frame is the feed. On the pellet waggler, the catapult is the feed. In winter, a dozen micros is a meal.
Rock-hard micros that never break down. Over-soaked soup. Banding a pellet so loosely it pings off. Feeding 8mm when they want 4mm, or the reverse.
If they ignore pellets, try maggot or corn. If they're up, feed more often, not more at once.
Beginner tip
Buy the fishery's own pellet. Damp micros for the method, a few 8mm for the catapult.
Advanced tip
Same size feed and hookbait until they prove they want a mismatch. Then mismatch on purpose.
